Reisen bak Exoquad

Vi utviklet Exoquad fordi vi mener at alle fortjener sjansen til å oppleve og nyte bevegelsesfrihet i naturen.

På grunn av en sykkelulykke mistet jeg, Sigurd, evnen til å bevege meg fritt og få tilgang til naturen slik jeg pleide. Dette var umulig for meg å akseptere og ble derfor noe jeg måtte gjøre noe med.

Mattias sin familie delte de samme utfordringene siden hans kjæreste også bruker rullestol.

Etter å ha lett vidt og bredt etter et kjøretøy som kunne ta oss dypt inn i skogen og høyt opp i fjellene, innså vi at ingenting eksisterte som kunne la oss bli med familien og vennene våre på deres eventyr utendørs.

Å måtte bli hjemme mens andre hadde det moro med spennende opplevelser, ble utrolig frustrerende. Vi lengtet etter å være ute i naturen uten begrensninger, så vi måtte rett og slett våge å lage vår egen løsning - Exoquad.

Med lavt tyngdepunkt og en sterk veltebøyle mener vi at Exoquad er det tryggeste og mest stabile terrengkjøretøyet som er tilgjengelig. Den kan håndtere sidehellinger på opptil 30 grader og bratte bakker på opptil 40 grader. Imponerende, ikke sant?

Maximum user weight is (very conservatively) set to 130 kilograms. The Exoquad can also be used by children from about 8 years of age, and customers ranging from 140 cm to 200 cm in height.

Can I use the Exoquad in various weather conditions?

What is the price and why does the Exoquad cost what it costs?

The Exoquad is handmade in small quantities in Norway, using high-quality materials and a labor-intensive assembly process. This ensures reliability and minimal maintenance. The base model 2 WD starts at 179,000 NOK and 219.000 NOK for the 4WD. We plan to develope more affordable models in the future.

What is the lead time when placing an order?

The lead time from order to delivery is approx 3 months. Lead times may vary with the amount of orders we have at any given time. Lead times will be shorter as we continue to streamline production and grow the company.

What is the top speed of the Exoquad?

The top speed is approximately 15 km/h, which is adequate for navigating rough terrain. Prioritizing torque and safety means increasing speed could compromise performance.

What is the range of the Exoquad?

The Exoquad features a 2300 Wh battery pack that can be expanded. A full charge typically lasts a day, although the range varies based on rider weight, temperature, terrain, and throttle use. We have customers that have measured it with GPS reaching a range of over 50 kilometres on a single battery pack.

Is it legal to use?

Legality varies by country. Ensure compliance with local regulations; dispensations may be available for specific areas. Currently, the Exoquad is not street legal but efforts are underway to classify it as an "electric wheelchair" for pavement use.

What is the warranty?

Comprehensive warranty details were not provided; however, you may want to refer to our warranty policy on our website for specifics on manufacturing defects and coverage.

Is an extended warranty available?

Can any be operated with one hand?

Yes, we can move all throttle and brake functions to one side. The machine does not have a servo steering, but many customers have the required strength to operate it with one hand

What is the weight of the different Exotek bikes?

The Exoquad 4WD weighs in at about 98 kilos, the 2 WD at about 85 kilos, and the ExoGravity at about 50 kilos.

Can I pull a trailer?

Yes the Exoquad can pull our custom-made trailer which can be ordered separately

Can the seat base height be made higher?

No, but it is adjustable back and forth.

Can I buy an additional charger?

Yes, a second charger can be purchased from your dealer or from Exotek AS directly.

How long does it take to charge?

About 4 hours with a standard charger and about 2 hours with a fast charger that can be bought separately

Ground clearance?

The ground clearance with fully extended shocks is 25 cm

What is the Exoquad made of?

The main frame is aluminium and the A-arms and uprights are made of steel
