Most mobility devices stop where the asphalt ends. This one doesn't.

The Exoquad is now available in the United States. We have our first US dealer on the ground in Florida, which means you can book a test drive, ask for a quote, and get the machine serviced without any of it having to cross an ocean first.

Why we built it

Five winters on the wettest coast in Europe

The Exoquad didn't start out as a product. It started because Mattias Storvestre wanted to get his girlfriend Kirsti back into the mountains, and kept rebuilding frames until something finally worked.

It was then built, tested and rebuilt through five winters on the west coast of Norway before we were willing to sell a single one. Every decision in this machine was made by someone who has to transfer into it.

Nobody wants to be the one left at the trailhead while everyone else heads up. That's the whole point of it.

The machine

What you actually get

Two drivetrains, four colours, and a chassis designed around a rider who transfers in from a day chair — not around an able-bodied test driver.

• 4WD or 2WD. Four motors and 6,000 W with independent traction in 4WD, or 2WD from 187 lb curb weight.
• Range and speed. Around 37 miles on the 2,300 Wh battery, up to 15 mph. Four hours to charge, two on fast charge.
• Made for rough ground. Eight inches of independent suspension, ten inches of clearance, studded fat-bike tires as standard.
• Set up for your hands. Quadriplegic adaptations with wrist throttle and a single-side brake lever, if that's what you need.
• It travels. 67 × 37 × 33 in. Trailer, hitch rack, or most station wagons. No commercial lift required.
• Street legal. In the US it's classed as an OPDMD, so it goes where mobility devices are allowed. Confirm the local rules with your dealer for the places you actually ride.

Meet Rolling In Paradise, Florida

Our first US dealer is Rolling In Paradise, a disabled-owned business in the Sanibel and Cape Coral area of Florida.

John Squires broke his neck diving at fifteen. He went on to run marathons on a handcycle and started Ohio's first quad rugby team, and he has spent twenty years putting adaptive riders on equipment that actually fits them. Annalisa has worked with the disabled community since meeting John around twenty years ago, and as the spouse of a spinal cord injury survivor she brings a perspective to the business that you can't learn from a product manual.

Each Exoquad is built to its rider, so expect a lead time of roughly three months from order. Worth knowing before you plan a season around it.

The investment

How families get there

We know an Exoquad is a serious investment, and almost nobody gets there alone. Insurance and Medicare don't cover off-road vehicles in the United States, so the families riding today found other routes: buying and financing through the dealer, adaptive sport grants, veteran routes through a case manager, or a community fundraiser.
